Real Madrid identify €150m superstar as top summer target
Real Madrid have reportedly identified Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Vitinha as their priority transfer target for this summer.
The Portugal international has established himself as one of the best players in world football since his arrival at the Parc des Princes and he recently finished third at the 2025 Ballon d’Or ceremony following a splendid season under Luis Enrique.
His form for PSG has unsurprisingly led to significant transfer speculation and Real Madrid are considered to be his most likely next destination if he opts to leave the French capital.
In fact, Spanish publication Fichajes now state that Vitinha has been earmarked as Los Blancos’ top target for 2026, with the club ready to launch a bid for his signature when the summer transfer window opens.
It’s claimed that a fee of €150 million may be required to sign the 25-year-old, which would make Vitinha the most expensive player to ever join Real Madrid - a record that is currently held by Eden Hazard.
In a bid to lower their potential outlay on Vitinha, Real Madrid may reportedly include Eduardo Camavinga or Arda Guler in the deal, but PSG currently have absolutely no intention of sanctioning a transfer.
Real Madrid’s transfer plan
In addition to Vitinha, Real Madrid have also been linked with his PSG team-mates Fabian Ruiz and Joao Neves in recent months, while they are believed to be tracking the progress of Enzo Fernandez (Chelsea), Kees Smit (AZ Alkmaar) and Adam Wharton (Crystal Palace), among several others.
The Bernabeu hierarchy have identified the central midfield position as a key area in need of improvement this year, with the club having failed to sign a replacement for Luka Modric last summer.
They have also been tipped to pursue a deal for Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, although a transfer is incredibly unlikely and would rely on Vinicius Junior completing a move to Saudi Arabia in order to raise funds.
