Vinicius wants to earn a higher wage than Kylian Mbappe, however Real Madrid are currently unwilling to match this demand and they are open to selling the 25-year-old next summer as a result.

A move to Saudi Arabia has been heavily rumoured for the past year and reports suggest that Xabi Alonso’s side will receive an offer worth roughly €350 million at some point over the next three years.

However, Manchester City have recently emerged as potential suitors for the 25-year-old and Real Madrid are now considering a “strategic move” by offering Vinicius to Pep Guardiola’s side in exchange for Haaland.

That is according to a blockbuster report from Spanish outlet Fichajes, who claim that Florentino Perez wants to take advantage of Vinicius Jr’s uncertain future at the Santiago Bernabeu to bring Haaland to the club.

Erling Haaland to Real Madrid?

Haaland is seen as the perfect foil for the aforementioned Mbappe, and Fichajes report that he is currently waiting for a call from the Real Madrid president as he eyes a potential move to the Spanish capital in 2026.

Los Blancos are confident that including Vinicius in the deal will reduce their outlay on Haaland by a significant margin, with Man City reportedly expected to demand an outright fee of over €200 million for the 25-year-old.

The Norway superstar has scored 126 goals in 147 appearances for Man City, but Real Madrid are plotting a “historic” swap deal bid in an attempt to secure his signature.
