Barcelona wages: How much does each player earn?
Barcelona are one of the biggest clubs in the world and up until very recently, they had an exorbitant, inflated wage bill.
The financial state of the club became apparent in the summer of 2021 when they were ordered by La Liga to drastically reduce their wage bill in order to meet new regulations.
That is what ultimately led to the departure of Lionel Messi, Antoine Griezmann and Miralem Pjanic, all high earning players.
In January, though, they added to their ranks, with Ferran Torres, Adama Traore and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang all joining the squad. These players followed Dani Alves, who had agreed to sign several weeks earlier.
So, what is the state of their wage bill now?
How much does every Barcelona player earn?
|Frenkie de Jong||25||€21m||2026|
|Marc-Andre ter Stegen||30||€6.2m||2025|
These deals were made possible as Philippe Coutinho departed the club for Aston Villa. He was pocketing €22m per season, and losing that has made a difference.
Another injury-prone star in Ousmane Dembele was on a very healthy wage, but after rejecting an €11m annual salary offer last season, he's now signed a new deal that will see him earn only €6m per year.
Samuel Umtiti, meanwhile, recently had a contract reduction as he signed new terms.
Similarly, Ansu Fati and Pedri recently signed new long-term contracts to stay with Barcelona until 2027 and 2026 respectively, but their young age means they are not quite yet amount the elite earners in the squad.
Youngster Gavi isn't on very much compared to the rest of his team-mates, but Barca are planning on new contract talks with him very soon, especially as he has a release clause worth a mere €50m.
