Messi, Neymar, Mbappe

Paris Saint-Germain are one of the richest clubs in the world and their exorbitant spending on transfer fees has also seen their wage bill soar.

In the summer of 2021 they enjoyed one of the craziest transfer windows of recent memory, bringing in Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Georginio Wijnaldum all on free transfers.

With these free transfers, however, came massive wages which added to an already bloated salary bill with the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe already on the books.

And their salary bill only grew in May 2022 when Mbappe stunned football by signing a lucrative new three-year contract, despite being on the brink of joining Real Madrid on a free transfer.

Here is how much each player in the squad earns.

Mbappe is now the club's highest earner, taking home a salary estimated to be in the region of €40-60m per year net. The exact amount differs depending on the source, but most believe it is around the €50m mark.

A report from L'Equipe details that Neymar is paid more than his former Barcelona team-mate Lionel Messi, earning €49m per annum. Messi closely follows in third.

Marquinhos and Marco Verratti are also well-paid on €14.4m a year, with the Italian in talks over renewing his deal.

Achraf Hakimi, Keylor Navas and Gianluigi Donnarumma aren't far behind.

PSG will at least save some cash when Angel Di Maria leaves on a free transfer at the end of June.
