Liverpool are planning to step up their pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola next week, according to reports in France.

The Reds are believed to have identified Barcola as their top target as they look to strengthen their options out wide this summer.

BBC Sport reported in July that Liverpool were preparing an opening offer for the 23-year-old, who PSG value at a staggering €170million (£145.3m).

It is unclear whether Andoni Iraola’s side have tabled an official offer for Barcola, however, and the situation has gone quiet in the last two weeks.

However, French publication L’Equipe understands Liverpool are set to renew their interest in the former Lyon attacker after this weekend.

Barcola has developed a reputation as one of the best wingers in the world since joining PSG for €45m (£38.4m) in August 2023.

Known for his blistering pace, Barcola has won 12 honours with PSG including back-to-back Champions League titles in 2025 and 2026.

However, he has struggled to dislodge Desire Doue, Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in PSG’s electric front three.

The Parisians have also signed wingers Maghnes Akliouche and Mika Godts this summer, adding further competition for a place in Luis Enrique’s starting XI.

Liverpool 'make progress' over deal for Mbaye

Liverpool have also been linked with Barcola’s PSG team-mate Ibrahim Mbaye, with L’Equipe claiming progress has been made over a deal.

RMC Sport were the first to report that the Merseysiders were considering a move for Mbaye, who is valued at around €40m (£35m).

The 18-year-old emerged through PSG’s youth system in 2024 and has scored four goals in 41 appearances for Luis Enrique’s side.

He has also scored four times in 15 appearances for Senegal, including a stunner in 3-1 group-stage loss to Barcola’s France at the 2026 World Cup.

Unlike the left-sided Barcola, Mbaye primarily operates on the right, meaning he could be considered a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah.

Salah called time on his legendary nine-year spell with Liverpool at the end of last season, and has since joined Trabzonspor on a free transfer.

Liverpool have so far backed new manager Iraola with the permanent signing of Victor Munoz from Osasuna and the loan acquisition of Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo.

Defender Jeremy Jacquet has also moved to Anfield from Rennes in a pre-arranged deal that was negotiated before Iraola’s appointment in June.
