Tonali bid prepared

Man Utd have made it clear to Sandro Tonali that they are "ready to submit a suitable offer" to Newcastle, Tuttomercatoweb claims.

The midfielder, who turned 26 on Friday, is looking to leave Newcastle this summer. He favours a return to Italy, but he is a "forbidden dream" for Serie A clubs like Juventus, who dream of signing him.

However, they simply can't afford him because Newcastle will not entertain offers below €80 million for Tonali. His wages also make him unattainable, so his most realistic destination is another Premier League club. Man Utd have informed him that they are prepared to act on their interest, despite his price.

Liverpool bid for Ouedraogo laughed off

Recent reports have claimed that Liverpool have made a €40m bid for RB Leipzig midfielder Assan Ouedraogo, but BILD reports that this is a fanciful suggestion.

The Reds have a long-standing appreciation for the Germany international, but Leipzig have "no intention" of selling him this summer, especially not for a fee as low as €40m. They believe that he can easily be worth double that in the future.

Ouedraogo has been plagued by injuries in his first two seasons at Leipzig, so the Bundesliga side want to keep him for at least another year in hopes that he can stay fit for a full campaign and really establish himself as an elite midfielder.

Bargain Nwaneri fee?

Arsenal could be "tempted" to cash in on Ethan Nwaneri for €46m this summer, as per CaughtOffside.

The 19-year-old has endured a difficult season, both at Arsenal and on loan at Marseille, which has given rise to rumours that he could be sold after this season. The academy graduate would generate pure profit for the Gunners.

Last summer, Chelsea expressed an interest in Nwaneri during the talks that resulted in Noni Madueke moving to North London. Borussia Dortmund also explored a deal for the teenager.

Gvardiol eyed

Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have "made contact" for Man City defender Josko Gvardiol, TEAMtalk states.

The Croatia international has been the world's most expensive defender since his €90m move to Man City in 2023. The five-year deal he signed at the time expires in 2028, and the Cityzens are ready to hand him improved terms.

However, his contract situation has also attracted potential suitors. Both Bayern and Real Madrid are looking for a left-sided defender and have held discussions with his representatives to get a clearer picture of his current status. City, though, are confident of keeping him.

Man Utd still interested in Affengruber

Man Utd have continued to keep tabs on Elche defender David Affengruber after being linked with a move in December, as per Sky Germany.

The Austrian centre-back has emerged as one of LaLiga's best centre-backs at Elche, despite the promoted side battling against the drop. He was previously described as a "silent leader" by the club's sporting director.

Affengruber is under contract until 2027 and is planning to take the next step in his career this summer. Man Utd could make a move if Matthijs de Ligt fails to prove his fitness after his mystery, long-term back injury.
