Transfer Rumours: Darwin Nunez agreement as Chelsea talks confirmed
FootballTransfers runs through the biggest rumours from 7 May, including the latest updates on Darwin Nunez, Anthony Gordon and Lewis Hall.
Nunez to leave Al-Hilal
Darwin Nunez has "reached an agreement" with Al-Hilal bosses to leave the club this summer, Referi reports.
The Uruguay international has not featured in the Saudi Pro League since being de-registered from the squad to make way for Karim Benzema in early February. Unsurprisingly, Nunez is keen to leave the club.
The former Liverpool striker has held clear-the-air talks with Al-Hilal chiefs, and both parties agreed that it is in everyone's best interest for him to depart this summer. Nunez has been linked with Chelsea in recent weeks.
Chelsea hold Gordon meeting
Chelsea have held a meeting with the representative of Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon, Si Philipps claims.
The England winger is "likely" to leave Newcastle this summer, and Chelsea chiefs have now spoken to his camp over a potential transfer. The Blues are one of at least three clubs chasing his signature.
Earlier this week, it was claimed that Bayern Munich had presented him with a concrete five-year contract offer and that Gordon would be keen on a move to the Bundesliga giants. However, Bayern will only make a move if Newcastle lower their financial demands.
Man Utd's left-back targets
Man Utd have three primary left-back targets this summer, as per Sky Sports.
The Red Devils are in the market for another left-sided defender after converting Patrick Dorgu into a winger, which has left Luke Shaw as the club's only senior left-back. Out-of-favour Tyrell Malacia will leave the club on a free transfer this summer.
It is claimed that Newcastle's Lewis Hall, Eintracht Frankfurt's Nathaniel Brown and Arsenal's Myles Lewis-Skelly are Man Utd's primary targets for the position.
Fofana "offered" to Barcelona
Chelsea defender Wesley Fofana has been offered to Barcelona by his representatives, Sacha Tavolieri states.
The French centre-back could be facing an uncertain future due to his constant injury problems, which is why his camp are looking for potentially interested clubs. Fofana was previously the subject of approaches from his boyhood club Marseille.
Barcelona are not indifferent to Fofana's interest in moving to Catalunya and have added him to an extended shortlist of targets. The option of signing him has been "studied," but their top defensive target remains Alessandro Bastoni.
Kalulu "opportunity"
Juventus defender Pierre Kalulu is attracting strong Premier League interest, CaughtOffside reports.
Juventus insist that the Frenchman is not for sale and that he is in line for a new contract, but some sources close to the situation believe that this is just posturing. There is a feeling that he could be available for a fee in the region of €40m this summer.
Aston Villa, Liverpool and Man Utd have been alerted to this potential "opportunity," with the Reds in particular showing a strong appreciation of the centre-back after closely scouting him this season.
