Bayern Munich enter Diomande race

Romano spoke on YouTube about the future of RB Leipzig wonderkid Yan Diomande, who has been linked with Liverpool and Manchester United among other clubs.

“There is a lot of interest guys from several clubs in England also in France because Paris Saint-Germain have been monitoring the player,” Romano said.

“Several clubs are following Diomande, who is one of the most interesting wingers around. I told you already several times, United and Tottenham have sent their scouts multiple times to follow him.

“But let me add one thing guys. We have absolutely to include Bayern Munich as one of the clubs interested in Diomande because Bayern are following the player closely.

“My understanding is that Bayern manager Vincent Kompany appreciates the player and so it's still early. There are going to be several clubs interested in Diomande

“Also there were some reports in the last days about Diomande having Liverpool as his favourite club. He clarified today that it's his father’s favourite club Liverpool is not directly on Diomande.

“But Bayern are part of the conversation and are informed on the situation of the player who recently signed with a new agency. So the situation could be an interesting one for the summer.”

Bayer Leverkusen name Tapsoba price

Romano spoke about the future of Edmond Tapsoba, who could be set to leave Bayer Leverkusen this summer if they receive an offer of €40m.

“Tapsoba was already monitored in the last two or three years, he had several opportunities to move,” Romano said. “He had a chance with, for example, Newcastle, as well as Tottenham and with PSG. Several clubs have been interested in Tapsoba.

“Now he's doing very well, already six goal contributions generated in the Bundesliga, and what my understanding is that, with a transfer fee around €40m, Tapsoba could be leaving Leverkusen in the summer transfer window.

“Several clubs are aware of that. The situation of Tapsoba could be interesting in this summer transfer window with already some contacts, some calls taking place.”

Endrick set for Real Madrid stay

Real Madrid have no desire to get rid of Endrick this summer despite interest after the Brazilian's impressive start to life on loan at Lyon.

"My understanding despite all the stories around on Premier League clubs trying, on Lyon’s intention on keeping the player, Real Madrid in total control of the situation. Real Madrid don't want to lose Endrick," Romano said.

“Real Madrid want Hendrick to stay. Real Madrid want Hendrick to be part of that project for present and future. So now he's on loan at Lyon but in the summer is going to be total control of Real Madrid and my understanding is that Real Madrid are not putting the player on the market at this stage.

“In football we never know, we’ll see who's going to be the manager of Real Madrid next season, there are several factors, but as of today, the message coming from Madrid and from Real Madrid is that Endrick is going to be a big part of their future plans."

Romano plays down Esposito Arsenal talks

FootballTransfers revealed this week that Arsenal are monitoring Pio Esposito as a potential summer signing but Romano believes Inter are not looking to sell their young striker anytime soon.

“My understanding is that Esposito is obviously appreciated by several clubs around Europe. He's one of the best talents in terms of strikers around as a traditional number nine. So they really appreciate him. But that's it," Romano said.

“Inter are more than happy with Esposito. He is very grateful to Inter for the opportunity he's having in the first team. He's doing very well. So there is a fantastic connection between Inter and Esposito.

“At the moment I have nothing more than these in terms of updates. Many stories on Arsenal targeting Esposito, but at the moment these stories remain stories. There is nothing concrete into it.

“Also because, again, the player is more than happy and there is no feeling at all about Esposito leaving in summer 2026. So that's what I can tell you today.”

Greenwood future and Kabak speculation

Romano also spoke on the future of Mason Greenwood after the change in management with Roberto de Zerbi leaving Marseille as well as director Mehdi Benatia.

“Greenwood, who in terms of numbers has very good numbers at Marseille, but don't forget that Manchester United have 50% sell on clause on the player when they sold him one-and-a-half-years ago,” Romano said.

“So, financially, if Mason Greenwood leaves Marseille in the summer to make a multi-million move, Manchester United would get 50% of the fee and that's obviously huge in terms of financial plans.”

Romano also revealed that former Liverpool loanee Ozan Kabak is set to have many admirers this summer after impressing at Hoffenheim this season.

He said: “Kabak, who is back from an ACL injury, is scoring goals playing as a defender as a leader. There is interest from the Italian league in Kabak. So the former Liverpool player is attracting interest around Europe and could be one to watch in the summer.”
