QUADRUPLE Arsenal deal 'accelerates' as Chelsea and Real Madrid stunned

Rodrygo and Kepa Arrizabalaga have become 'top targets' for Arsenal, who are expected to finalise the arrivals of Benjamin Sesko and Martin Zubimendi in the coming days.
The Gunners' summer business is really starting to kick into gear now, with sporting director Andrea Berta locked in talks over several big-name arrivals.
In addition to reinforcing at centre-forward - with negotiations over Benjamin Sesko currently in full swing and advancing positively - Arsenal feel they need to strengthen several other areas, too.
The wide positions are a priority for Mikel Arteta, while another body is also needed in midfield to replace the Flamengo-bound Jorginho. Finally, a new back-up goalkeeper is a must after failing to land Joan Garcia for the second consecutive summer.
Over the past few days, some big decisions have been made at Arsenal, and two new players have emerged as priority targets.
Arsenal make Rodrygo a top target
According to Relevo journalist Javier Rodriguez Pascual, and now confirmed by Sky Sports, Real Madrid winger Rodrgyo has become Arsenal's new top target for the left wing.
The Gunners have been credited with an interest in the Brazilian for weeks, but concerns over his €100 million price tag and hefty wage quickly cooled the speculation. It is now being reported that several key figures at Arsenal have held serious talks with him, and that a move could be feasible.
For now, Rodrygo's stance on a transfer remains unchanged: he would prefer to stay and fight for his place. However, should new boss Xabi Alonso make it clear to him that he will struggle for game time, the 24-year-old will look for a move.
He has also been linked with Chelsea, but a transfer to Arsenal appears a more realistic option as things stand. The Blues will also have been surprised to find out that their exiled goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has become the Gunners' new top target between the sticks.
The Athletic has confirmed that the 30-year-old is the preferred option currently under consideration and that talks with the player are already taking place. Kepa, who is still the world's most expensive goalkeeper at €80m, reportedly has a release clause worth just €6m.
Regarding Martin Zubimendi, Sky Sports reports that Arsenal will 'accelerate' his signing after the international break. An agreement has been in place for some time, but the lack of confirmation has given rise to Real Madrid hijack rumours.
Zubimendi himself recently fuelled the speculation by revealing that the aforementioned Alonso is his idol and by insisting that his future hasn't yet been decided.
