Mbeumo AGREES move as Man Utd meet Brentford’s asking price

Manchester United’s move for Bryan Mbeumo will be resolved imminently, with the Old Trafford side set to approach Brentford for a final time.
The Cameroon international attacker caught the eye with his performances for the Bees in the Premier League as he scored 20 and created eight more. Now the Red Devils are seeking to add him to their offensive ranks.
Should everything go to plan for Ruben Amorim’s side, Mbeumo will become their second signing of the summer after Matheus Cunha was captured in a €74 million deal from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Man Utd have already had one bid knocked back by Brentford for Mbeumo. David Ornstein reported that this was worth a little over €53m (£45m) – not far from the player’s Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €58m.
Now the Red Devils are set to return with an improved bid worth a total of €71m (£60m), according to the Daily Mirror.
This is a top-end figure that includes potential bonus payments for the player but crucially it matches the figure requested by Brentford. Equally, United are willing to pay the vast majority of this figure in an upfront fee, with just €6m in potential add ons.

Mbeumo has already agreed Man Utd contract
Once a transfer fee has been agreed with Brentford, Mbeumo’s move to Man Utd should be relatively straightforward given that he has already more-or-less agreed a contract with the club. Rudy Galetti states that there is only some “fine-tuning” to be done over the deal.
The transfer correspondent also suggests that the Red Devils are confident that they will get this move over the line.
He says that there was “positive contact” made between the clubs on Thursday, with Brentford reaffirming their desire to receive a package worth over €70m for their attacker.
United are now expected to launch their new bid by the end of the weekend, with that move expected to be decisive in making Mbeumo the second new arrival of the summer at Old Trafford.
