Vinicius Junior could be the story of the summer if Real Madrid are unable to finalise a contract extension agreement, amid interest from Arsenal, while Julian Alvarez and Yan Diomande have also been linked with exits before the end of Deadline Day on 1 September.

Unsurprisingly, Chelsea have spent the most money of any club in world football so far this summer, with the likes of Morgan Rogers, Maxence Lacroix and Marco Palestra arriving at Stamford Bridge. Danny Welbeck, Valentin Barco and Jordan Henderson have also joined the club in recent days.

Tottenham Hotspur have also spent big during the early weeks of the summer, with Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes joining the club for over €200m combined, and Jan Paul van Hecke, Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Martin Dubravka arriving in north London too.

Manchester United have bolstered Michael Carrick’s squad with the signings of Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans, Karl Darlow and Tynan Thompson, but they crucially missed out on top target Elliot Anderson to rivals Manchester City.

Enzo Maresca’s side paid a club-record fee of €135m to sign the England midfielder, and they have also completed deals for youngsters Mathys Detourbet, Jeremy Monga and Pierce Charles in their first transfer window without Pep Guardiola in charge since January 2016.

Rounding off the Premier League’s elite clubs, Arsenal have signed Christos Tzolis, Piero Hincapie and Illan Meslier, and they are in advanced negotiations with Newcastle United for Bruno Guimaraes. A deal may also be finalised for the aforementioned Vinicius.

Meanwhile Liverpool have purchased Jeremy Jacquet, Victor Munoz and Samuel Martinez, and they are in talks over a bombshell deal for Paris Saint-Germain attacker Bradley Barcola.

In Europe, Real Madrid have brought in Marc Cucurella, Denzel Dumfries, Ibrahima Konate, Bernardo Silva and Carlos Espi following Jose Mourinho’s return to the club, while they could be set to sign Man City midfielder Rodri too.

Elsewhere in Spain, La Liga rivals Barcelona have signed Newcastle United forward Anthony Gordon for €80m, Borussia Dortmund ace Karim Adeyemi for €22m rising to €29m and Club Brugge winger Jesse Bisiwu for €8.5m.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich have signed Nathaniel Brown and Ismael Saibari following their performances at the World Cup,Juventus have purchased Randal Kolo Muani and Kerim Alajbegovic, AC Milan have backed new manager Ruben Amorim by purchasing his compatriot Goncalo Ramos for a whopping €74m.

John Stones has signed for Inter Milan on a Bosman deal and PSG are in advanced talks to sign Maghnes Akliouche, Ferran Torres, Mika Godts and Zion Suzuki.
