Arsenal have spent €80 million on new signings so far this summer, but a host of other stars could be set to join the club during the remaining weeks of the transfer window.

The Gunners have already finalised the arrivals of Piero Hincapie, Christos Tzolis and Illan Meslier, but their business is far from finished, with Mikel Arteta keen to significantly strengthen his squad before the new season begins.

Below, FootballTransfers runs through five players who could join Arsenal before the end of Deadline Day on 1 September.

Vinicius Junior (Real Madrid)

Vinicius Junior could be set to join Arsenal this summer, with the 26-year-old locked in a contract dispute with current employers Real Madrid.

Jose Mourinho is eager to tie the Brazil superstar down to a new deal, however Vinicius is yet to agree fresh terms with Los Blancos and a sale will be permitted if he fails to sign a contract extension as his current deal expires next summer.

FootballTransfers understands that Arsenal are willing to do whatever it takes to sign him before Deadline Day, and talks will intensify if he refuses to pen a new contract at the Bernabeu.

Bruno Guimaraes (Newcastle)

Bruno Guimaraes is Arsenal’s priority target for the remainder of the window and it’s increasingly likely that a deal will be finalised with Newcastle United.

The Brazil midfielder has already agreed personal terms with the Gunners and the north London giants are now pushing to secure a transfer fee agreement.

Guimaraes wants to join Arsenal and he is widely expected to be announced as their next big-money signing ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.

Ezri Konsa (Aston Villa)

Ezri Konsa has emerged as a possible target for Arsenal in recent weeks and rumours suggest that a deal will be pursued during the latter stages of the summer transfer window.

Ben White has been heavily linked with an Emirates Stadium exit and it’s understood that Arteta’s side are keen to sign Konsa if his compatriot departs before the window closes.

Villa, for what it’s worth, are determined to retain Konsa’s signature, although they could be tempted into a sale if a suitable offer is submitted due to the fact his contract expires in 2028.

Igor Tyjon (Blackburn)

Arsenal have been linked with Blackburn Rovers youngster Igor Tyjon for several months and it has been reported that an agreement is close to being reached.

The England U18 striker is firmly being pursued by Arsenal and while he signed a contract extension in May, his new deal is only valid until 2027 and Blackburn are expected to sell him this summer.

He has made three senior appearances for Blackburn, but he is likely to link up with Arsenal’s U21 side if he completes a move before Deadline Day.

Julian Alvarez (Atletico Madrid)

This is the least likely transfer on this list, with Atletico Madrid currently unwilling to sanction a deal, but Julian Alvarez remains on Arsenal’s radar and a switch could therefore still take place before Deadline Day.

The Argentina international is Barcelona’s priority striker target for this summer and although he is keen to complete a move to Camp Nou, Atleti have no interest in strengthening a direct rival.

This could give Arsenal the opportunity to pounce, but it will take a club-record fee to sign him.
