Arsenal 'ready' to END Benjamin Sesko pursuit

Arsenal are reportedly “ready” to end their pursuit of RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko if talks to sign him don’t advance soon.
The 2025 summer transfer window has now reopened for clubs in the Premier League and Arsenal are hoping to bolster their attacking roster with the addition of Sesko ahead of the new campaign.
As exclusively revealed by FootballTransfers, Arsenal are currently prioritising a move for Sesko over fellow target Viktor Gyokeres, and we understand the Gunners are now better placed than ever to sign the Slovenia international.
Furthermore, reports in Portugal state that Arsenal have “frozen” their pursuit of Gyokeres due to Sporting CP’s current asking price, with the Portuguese giants holding out for a fee close to his €100 million release clause.
However, while Sesko remains Arsenal’s primary centre forward target, TEAMtalk transfer reporter Rudy Galetti has revealed that Mikel Arteta’s side could end their interest in his services if negotiations with RB Leipzig don’t progress in the short term.
The Gunners are reportedly in talks with a number of strikers across Europe and Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins has re-emerged as a potential target in recent days, despite the fact he is now 29 years old.

Benjamin Sesko to join Arsenal this summer?
Sesko scored 21 goals and provided six assists in 45 appearances for RB Leipzig last season and he is viewed as an ideal candidate to help Arsenal win the Premier League title for the first time since 2004.
However, Bayern Munich are also interested in the 22-year-old, as per BILD, while Chelsea have previously been tipped to pursue a transfer amid their push to bring another striker to Stamford Bridge.
