Real Madrid make formal Dean Huijsen offer - Fabrizio Romano

Real Madrid have officially activated their pursuit of Dean Huijsen and sent a formal contract offer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The discussions over the Bournemouth youngster's future are reaching a decisive phase. Everyone involved wants a quick resolution, and it seems that one will be found.
Despite Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool trying for weeks to strike a deal for Huijsen, it now looks as though his destination will be Real Madrid after Los Blancos' decision to sign a centre-back this summer.
Initially, there was uncertainty over whether the Spanish giants would dip into the centre-back market in the upcoming window, but after talks with new head coach Xabi Alonso, it was determined to make the acquisition of one a priority.
Huijsen quickly emerged as one of the top options for Real Madrid as they knew that he was waiting for the club to make a decision. The white half of Madrid was always understood to be the Spaniard's favoured destination.
Real Madrid make Huijsen offer
Fabrizio Romano now reports that Real Madrid have presented a formal contract offer to Huijsen as talks over a move to LaLiga begin to really ramp up.
The Amsterdam-born defender has a €60 million release clause, so negotiations with Bournemouth are not necessary. Clubs feel that his price tag is good value for money, and the fact that his clause can be paid in three instalments only makes it even more attractive.

Joining Real Madrid is Huijsen's clear priority, but Romano makes sure to emphasise that his Premier League suitors continue to push. He previously revealed on his YouTube channel that remaining in the Premier League still holds appeal to the 20-year-old.
His favoured Premier League destination has been the subject of conflicting reports. Some have claimed that Chelsea were in pole position to sign him, while more recently Liverpool and Arsenal supposedly emerged as his preferred options.
However, with Real Madrid now getting serious about their pursuit of him, it seems that only failure to agree terms will prevent him from linking up with the 15-time European champions.
