Garnacho and Mainoo too immature – Keane blasts ‘SLOPPY’ Man Utd stars

Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho are two of the players to find themselves in the firing line from Roy Keane, who also slammed Rasmus Hojlund.
The Red Devils’ woeful Premier League season continued on Friday as they were defeated 1-0 away to Chelsea.
Ruben Amorim’s side will, therefore, finish the campaign without winning two league games in a row for just the third time in the club’s history.
Off the back of this embarrassing defeat, Keane launched a trademark tirade against the players, notably branding Mainoo and Garnacho as “immature”. Rasmus Hojlund also caught criticism from the former Man Utd midfield star.
What did Keane say about Hojlund, Mainoo and Garnacho?
“I wouldn’t be hanging my hat on them three to get Man United back to the top. Mainoo comes on tonight – I watched him closely, and he’s strolling around the pitch. Some of his passes were sloppy,” Keane told Sky Sports.
“Garnacho is very kind of… He’s immature. He plays in little moments, but he doesn’t do enough. Again, we spoke before the programme. You want players for the big clubs who turn up week in, week out. And he doesn’t do that.
“He’s got a bit of talent. He makes some good runs, and he threatens it behind. And on his good day, you think, listen, I like what I see. But he’s got too many bad days.

“And Hojlund, in his defence, I think he should have probably been a backup striker, third or fourth choice and learn his trade off of two or three brilliant strikers. The fact when he came to the club that he was going to be the main man… he’s not good enough.”
Garnacho and Hojlund are both linked with moves away from Old Trafford this summer while there is no guarantee that Mainoo will remain at the club either as he has struggled to impress under Amorim.
Combined, the trio’s value is €181.6 million, which would be usefully reinvested into a squad that needs major surgery if Man Utd are to get back to where a club of their size should find itself.
