Fabrizio Romano Transfer News: Wirtz AGREES Liverpool move, Amorim exit TRUTH, Ten Hag LATEST

Football transfer news reporter Fabrizio Romano has delivered the latest news from the market, with updates on Florian Wirtz to Liverpool, Alejandro Garnacho’s future at Manchester United and Erik ten Hag’s Bayer Leverkusen move.
Lucas Vazquez to leave Real Madrid
Real Madrid have already confirmed the departures of Luka Modric and Carlo Ancelotti ahead of the summer window, and Lucas Vazquez will also leave the club before the start of the new season.
Romano told his YouTube channel: “After the Club World Cup, there will be the farewell of Lucaz Vazquez. He is one more player leaving Real Madrid on a free transfer, the decision has been made.
“Trent Alexander-Arnold will be the new right-back at Real Madrid and Dani Carvajal will be the other one. So, Vazquez is leaving as a free agent.”
Ruben Amorim and Alejandro Garnacho latest
Man Utd are set for a blockbuster summer transfer window, with the club set to oversee several major changes ahead of the new campaign.
A number of first-team stars are set to be sold, including Alejandro Garnacho, but the Red Devils will keep faith with Ruben Amorim, despite his poor record since arriving from Sporting CP.

“Man Utd have very clear ideas and Ruben Amorim does too,” Romano explained. “They will continue together. Man Utd are planning with Amorim and they plan to back him. They plan to sign Matheus Cunha - a player wanted by Amorim.
“Amorim is staying, but Alejandro Garnacho is not staying. Garnacho can leave Man Utd this summer. This is the idea of the club, the management, the manager and the player. All of them understand that.”
Romano added: “In January the situation wasn’t easy, Chelsea and Napoli tried to sign Garnacho, but they were unable to reach an agreement with all parties involved and the deal didn’t happen. But, in the Europa League final, he only played 19 minutes and after strong comments from Amorim and Garnacho, the situation is very clear - they want to part ways in the summer transfer window.
“It will be up to other clubs how much they can offer for Garnacho, in terms of transfer fee and salary. The expectation is for the player to leave for less than the requested €70/75 million in January.”
Erik ten Hag to Bayer Leverkusen
While Amorim is safe at Man Utd, former Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag is on the verge of returning to management with Bayer Leverkusen.
“Erik ten Hag is expected to return to work very soon. Ten Hag had the opportunity to return to Ajax and replace Francesco Farioli but he said ‘no’ as he gave priority to Bayer Leverkusen,” Romano revealed.

“The agreement between Ten Hag and Leverkusen is done. It’s a two-year contract until 2027 and he is waiting to formally complete the verbal agreement, but they are okay on the project, on the vision, on the salary and the length of the contract.
“So everything is set for Ten Hag to become the new Bayer Leverkusen head coach.”
Cristian Romero update
Cristian Romero helped Tottenham achieve Europa League glory on Wednesday night and the club are now determined to retain his services for another season amid heavy rumours of a summer exit.
“Daniel Levy will make it even more difficult for some of the important players to leave Tottenham this summer,” Romano told his YouTube channel.
“One of them is, for sure, Cristian Romero. He is out of contract in two years and there are no active conversations ongoing to extend his contract, but Levy will try his best to keep Romero at the club, despite strong interest from Spain.”
Florian Wirtz to Liverpool latest
Finally, Romano provided an update on Liverpool’s pursuit of Bayer Leverkusen superstar Florian Wirtz, who now looks set to snub Bayern Munich in order to move to Anfield.
“For Florian Wirtz, Liverpool are working on it,” Romano said. “They are in constant contact and negotiations are ongoing. It will be more than €100m and a big part of this package will be add-ons.
“Everything is being negotiated, but Bayer Leverkusen received a very clear message from the player - Wirtz wants to go to Liverpool. He likes what Arne Slot told him and the project of Liverpool is really appreciated.
“Wirtz has an agreement with Liverpool and now it’s on Liverpool to close the deal with Leverkusen."
