Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez finally tied the knot after 10 years together at a private ceremony at their mansion last week.

It was an intimate event in the Quinta da Marinha area of Cascais, with only four other people in attendance in addition to Ronaldo, Rodriguez and their children. According to The Sun, not even his mother, Dolores, was present.

The couple have been together since 2016, after meeting while she was working as a sales assistant at a Gucci store in Madrid. They share two daughters, Alana Martina and Bella Esmeralda, while Georgina also helps raise Ronaldo's other three children. In 2022, the couple suffered a personal tragedy when one of their newborn twins, a baby boy, died during childbirth, while Bella survived.

Though she is best known as being Ronaldo's partner, she is a successful businesswoman in her own right. She's an established model, entrepreneur and social media personality, with her Netflix series I Am Georgina offering a glimpse into their family life.

Her success as a businesswoman will aid her should the pair ever get divorced, as a pre-nuptial agreement signed before the marriage ceremony dictates that she will not automatically receive half of the shared assets between her and her husband.

Instead, Ronaldo and Rodriguez have agreed a “regime de separacao de bens” or “separation of assets” deal.

That means that whoever purchased a specific asset will keep it, should the pair separate. In addition to that, Ronaldo would pay Rodriguez £83,000 per month, while Ronaldo's £5m mansion in Madrid is reportedly registered in her name, so she would receive that also.

In 2025, CR7 became the first billionaire footballer following his lucrative contract extension with Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr. He signed a deal worth $200 million (€172m) per year as a basic salary, with around €30m also received as a signing-on bonus.

He reportedly earns £488,000 a day at the club.

Ronaldo is said to have earned over $550m in wages between 2002 and 2023, while his endorsement deals with companies such as Nike, Armani and Castrol have added $175m to his net worth. He also has a luxury car collection, numerous properties and has even created a new movie studio alongside Kick-Ass director Matthew Vaughn.

The marriage ceremony was a low-key affair and only became public knowledge after Ronaldo posted a picture of the pair on Instagram wearing wedding rings.

“When I was a little girl,” Rodriguez told Vogue magazine before the event.

“I dreamt of the biggest castle, the biggest carriage, the longest dress, a crown full of diamonds. And now I’m saying: no. I want something intimate, with my partner and our children, at home. Because castles, houses, islands, horses, cars: We have all of that within reach every day. But something intimate—that’s more unusual for us.”

In the same interview, Ronaldo dropped a retirement bomb by suggesting he could hang up his boots following the expiration of his current Al-Nassr contract.

This is probably my last year of football, and I want to leave a spectacular legacy," the Portuguese superstar explained.

“I have my future all mapped out. I have so many things to keep me busy that to tell you just one thing is hard. Because football could leave a big hole, you have to fill your time in various ways, not just one. And also have more fun, travel more, watch and play padel, which I really like, and continue to enjoy what I’ve earned—what we’ve earned. Because after all it’s been 25 years with a lot of sacrifice.”

Ronaldo's current contract with Al-Nassr runs out in the summer of 2027.
