The Blues have made a concerted effort to scout in South America since the arrival of Clearlake Capital as their new owners in 2022 and Conceicao has emerged as their latest wonderkid target ahead of this summer.

Chelsea have signed six players from South America over the past four years, while Denner will arrive at the club from Corinthians for a fee of €10 million in July following his 18th birthday earlier this year.

Estevao has undoubtedly been the biggest success story of those transfers, with his €45m transfer fee already looking like a bargain after a sublime start to life at Chelsea. The Brazil international is yet to become a nailed on starter at Stamford Bridge, but he has registered 10 goal contributions in just over 1,500 minutes of action this term, while his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) has now risen to a whopping €92.1m.

Chelsea are eager to repeat this success by sanctioning further transfers in Brazil and Conceicao has been earmarked as their latest target.

That is according to Brazilian outlet UOL, who have revealed that Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Newcastle United all lodged enquiries about Conceicao after he scored four goals and provided three assists in seven games at the 2026 Copinha - Brazil’s most prestigious U20 youth football tournament.

Chelsea chase next Estevao

Conceicao is expected to follow in the footsteps of former Palmeiras academy alumni Estevao and Endrick by securing a big-money move to Europe and Joao Paulo Sampaio, the coordinator of Palmeiras’ youth academy, has confirmed significant interest in the teenager.

“We also have a 16-year-old from our youth academy, Eduardo, who will be playing in the South American U17 Championship for the national team; we've already received two offers of €20-25 million plus bonuses,” Sampaio told ESPN (via UOL).

He refused to confirm which clubs have already submitted an offer for Conceicao, however UOL have revealed that both bids came from Premier League clubs.

It’s claimed that Conceicao will only be sold for a fee in excess of €60m, including add-ons, while his release clause currently stands at €100m after he signed his first professional contract in January.
