Arsenal target Kofane

Arsenal are interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen youngster Christian Kofane this summer, according to Fichajes.

The 19-year-old has enjoyed a very promising first campaign in the Bundesliga, even starring for Cameroon at the Africa Cup of Nations despite his youth. As a result, major clubs are already tracking the striker.

Signing him won't be cheap, however, as Leverkusen are said to be demanding a fee in the region of €70 million after rejecting €45m January bids. Arsenal's interest in Kofane comes after reports that they will struggle to sign Inter starlet Francesco Pio Esposito.

Mayulu camp hits back at PSG

PSG youngster Senny Mayulu has been in the news a lot in France due to a contract impasse with his club.

The teenager is out of contract in 2027, so PSG will likely have to sell this summer if they can't reach an agreement over fresh terms, sparking interest from Arsenal and Chelsea.

It has been claimed that Mayulu's exorbitant salary demands have doomed discussions with PSG, but the player's camp has now hit back via L'Equipe, insisting that the young attacking midfielder is being "thrown under the bus."

Those close to the player assert that people at PSG have planted these stories in the media to exert pressure on the player. Despite these accusations, it is believed that the situation has calmed down, though talks have not yet formally resumed.

Berta a wanted man

Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta is being chased by numerous clubs around Europe, Foot Mercato claims.

Berta augmented his already solid reputation with a strong summer transfer window at Arsenal, which has attracted the interest of numerous big-hitters, including Man City.

Though Hugo Viana only joined the Cityzens last year, it is thought that Pep Guardiola's exit could prompt a significant overhaul at the club. Additionally, Bayern Munich and AS Monaco are admirers of Berta.

Guimaraes' "gentleman's agreement"

Bruno Guimaraes has a "gentleman's agreement" with Newcastle that permits him to explore a move away if they miss out on Champions League qualification, according to Ben Jacobs.

While this is not legally binding, it could facilitate a summer exit. Arsenal were previously interested in the 28-year-old, though he is now primarily being chased by Man Utd.

A move could nevertheless impact Arsenal, as it would surely mean that Newcastle refuse to sell Gunners target Sandro Tonali. The Italian remains on the Gunners' wishlist after a late January approach.
