Arsenal willing to accept surprise summer double deal
Arsenal are reportedly willing to sell Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli this summer amid rumoured interest from Atletico Madrid.
The Gunners spent a whopping €294.6 million on new signings during the 2025 summer transfer window and with several additional players wanted this year too, they will be required to offload a number of their current stars.
Ben White, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Leandro Trossard could all be set to depart the Emirates Stadium following the conclusion of the 2025-26 season, while Jesus and Martinelli are also among the players who may be sacrificed by Mikel Arteta’s side.
The Brazilian duo have only started a combined 11 Premier League matches so far this campaign and Arsenal will not stand in their way if they wish to leave north London this summer.
That is according to TEAMtalk, who report that Atletico Madrid are interested in signing both Jesus and Martinelli during the upcoming transfer window as they look to bolster the attacking options available to long-standing head coach Diego Simeone.
Antoine Griezmann will leave the Wanda Metropolitano to join MLS outfit Orlando City this summer, while star striker Julian Alvarez continues to be linked with an exit amid significant interest from Arsenal and Barcelona.
As a result, the Spanish giants want to sign at least one new attacker and they are plotting an Arsenal raid ahead of the summer.
Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli to leave Arsenal?
While TEAMtalk state that Atleti’s interest in Jesus and Martinelli is unrelated to Arsenal’s desire to sign Alvarez, the possibility of a swap deal could be on the cards.
It’s claimed that Atletico Madrid have already enquired about the potential of signing the two Arsenal forwards this summer, and they are expected to intensify their pursuit of both players over the coming months.
Martinelli has scored 11 goals in 42 appearances across all competitions so far this term, while Jesus has found the back of the net on five occasions in 21 games.
