The England U21 international has made 11 senior appearances for the Blues so far this season, however he has only been included in one Premier League matchday squad since 25 October and the club are eager to sanction a permanent sale over the next few days.

George was on the verge of joining Fulham last summer, but the deal collapsed at the final hurdle following their decision to sign Shakhtar Donetsk winger Kevin instead and he has been forced to play a bit-part role at Chelsea for the past few months.

The Englishman has been tipped to leave the west London giants on a permanent deal for several weeks and The Athletic state that he is “expected” to secure a transfer before the window slams shut on 2 February.

George reportedly has numerous suitors across Europe, but he is yet to make a final decision on which club he would like to join.

Now, Man Utd have emerged as a possible destination for the 19-year-old, according to The Daily Mail.

Michael Carrick’s side are in the market for a new forward and INEOS’ preference of signing Premier League proven preference has opened the door for a move for George. The Red Devils are also reportedly keeping tabs on AC Milan star Rafael Leao, who is available for the right price, and Everton’s Illiman Ndiaye.

Tyrique George to leave Chelsea?

George’s last first-team appearance for Chelsea came against Cardiff City in the Carabao Cup in mid-December and the writing appears to be on the wall in regards to his career at Stamford Bridge.

However, despite the teenager’s lack of action in recent months, new boss Liam Rosenior was eager to praise George when asked about a possible January sale.

“Tyrique is a player of immense potential who I've been aware of for a long time,” Rosenior told reporters in mid-January.

“He's been unfortunate. The first game against Charlton, he travelled with the group. He wasn't in the group. Yesterday he was on the bench.

“I've said this to the players, your background, whether you're an academy player, whether you've been signed for £100m, it's about what you do in training. I have to say his attitude to training and what I've seen his attitude in the group has been top class.”
