During the 2025 summer transfer window, Premier League clubs were unsurprisingly extremely active in the market. Liverpool set a new record for the most money spent in a single window (€484.7 million) as they bolstered Arne Slot’s squad with the additions of Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Giovanni Leoni and Armin Pecsi.

Meanwhile, Arsenal added the likes of Martin Zubimendi, Eberechi Eze and Viktor Gyokeres, and Chelsea sanctioned a mass overhaul of their playing squad with a total of 10 new signings and 16 permanent first-team departures.

The aforementioned Semenyo is expected to become Man City's marquee signing of the winter window, having chosen the Etihad club as his preferred destination over Man Utd.

Newcastle announced the first done deal of January after agreeing to send Antonio Cordero to Cadiz on loan following his return from an unsuccessful spell at Westerlo.

Aston Villa, meanwhile, are looking to get their business done early and have signed Gremio prospect Alysson for €12m.

Liverpool have sold youngster James Norris to League of Ireland side Shelbourne.

Crystal Palace have signed Tottenham winger Brennan Johnson in a €40m deal in a bid to show ambition to head coach Oliver Glasner, who could leave at the end of the season.

West Ham have loaned Niclas Fullkrug to AC Milan and replaced him with Gil Vicente striker Pablo Felipe, who cost a sizeable €23m. The Hammers have also signed Taty Castellanos from Lazio for €29m. Luis Guilherme has joined Sporting after disappointing in East London.

Former Barcelona full-back Julian Araujo has left Bournemouth for Celtic. Goalkeeper Fraser Forster has joined the Cherries on a free transfer.

Elsewhere on the South Coast, Pascal Gross has surprisingly rejoined Brighton from Borussia Dortmund.
