Harry Kane has admitted he ‘does not think’ about a return to Tottenham despite reports suggesting he is ready to leave Bayern Munich to re-join his boyhood club.

Kane left Tottenham in 2023 after nearly 20 years with the club and there have been recent suggestions that the England captain could look to move back to the Premier League this summer when he has two years remaining on his contract.

The 32-year-old is believed to have a release clause in his contract, with some suggestions that Spurs retain a buy back clause for the striker but Kane revealed he is ‘not sure’ if he would return to North London.

“I’m not sure (if I’ll go back),” Kane told the Daily Mail. “I’m very happy here in Munich. It’s not something I'm thinking about.

“It’ll always be ‘we’ (with Spurs) because I spent my whole life there. I’m a fan of them and will always watch them and see how they’re getting on. They will always be a part of my life for sure but as for now, I’m loving it here.

“It was great to see (them win a trophy this year). I’ve got a lot of friends there with the players and staff. We know how long we waited and how close we’d come in the past so it was big for everyone - the fans, the club and all involved to have that feeling and get that one over the line.”

Kane: I hope Bayern Munich spell continues

Kane left the Premier League having scored 213 goals, leaving him just 48 off breaking the all-time record by Alan Shearer, leading to an expectation by some that he would eventually return to England to finish the job, including the forward himself.

However, Kane has insisted he is happy with Bayern and aiming to continue winning more trophies, having established himself as an early contender for the next Ballon d’Or award after starting the season with 18 goals in ten games.

“It’s such a big club,” Kane said. “I wanted to experience something different, a different league and a different culture. Bayern are known around Europe every year as one of the best and one of the favourites to win the Champions League.

“I wanted to test myself at that level and I’ve loved it on and off the pitch. It feels like my second home now. I’m enjoying every moment of it and hopefully it continues.”
