The 22-year-old, who made his Germany debut against Luxembourg on Friday, has attracted significant transfer interest over the past few months and he has been widely tipped to secure a big-money move in 2026.

Brown enjoyed an eye-catching 2024-25 campaign at Eintracht Frankfurt and his form in the Bundesliga has caught the attention of numerous top European clubs, including Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid, as per BILD.

Eintracht Frankfurt are braced to receive interest in Brown next summer and they have reacted to his growing stock by slapping a major price tag on his head. That is according to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, who posted on X: “Eintracht Frankfurt already expect top offers for Nathaniel Brown in the summer.

“Understand SGE are demanding up to €60 million for a summer move. He is under contract until 2030 with no release clause. The 22 y/o left-back has had an excellent season and is a new German international.”

News that Arsenal are interested in Brown comes as a major surprise given that Mikel Arteta already has Riccardo Calafiori, Myles Lewis-Skelly and even Piero Hincapie as left-back options.

The latter is yet to feature following his arrival on loan from Bayer Leverkusen, but he will provide cover at centre-back and left-back when he returns to full fitness, and the deal includes an option-to-buy clause worth around €52m.

Lewis-Skelly emerged as one of the Premier League’s breakout stars last season, racking up 39 senior appearances across all competitions for Arsenal, and his form was rewarded with a new long-term contract in June.

However, the 19-year-old is yet to start an English top flight match so far this campaign, with Calafiori currently preferred by Arteta, and interest in Brown will raise uncertainty over his future at the Emirates Stadium.

Despite this, a departure is still incredibly unlikely given his age, contract length and obvious talent.

Expert opinion on Nathaniel Brown

Bundesliga expert Ronan Murphy tells FootballTransfers: “Nathaniel Brown is so versatile he can play on either side of the pitch and could have played for two different countries. Mauricio Pochettino tried to get him to play for the country of his father, but he turned down the USMNT in the hope he could earn a place in Germany's squad for the World Cup in North America next summer.

“Operating mainly as a left-back, Brown can also play on the right side of the pitch and has even been used in midfield, such is his confidence in possession and his range of passing.

“He is also very composed defensively and it is these qualities that have seen him linked with some of Europe's elite and saw Eintracht Frankfurt put a massive price tag on his head as they look to finish in the top four again in Germany.”
