Matteo Moretto has revealed that Juventus are big fans of Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca and see him as a potential future manager of the Bianconeri.

In his regular slot on Fabrizio Romano's YouTube channel, Moretto says that Juventus appreciate Maresca and are following him closely.

Juventus are on the lookout for a new long-term coach as it is well acknowledged that current boss Igor Tudor is not at the level required to lead the team for years to come.

While there is no chance of hiring Maresca during the current season, Juventus could look to make a move further down the line, be it in 2026 or later.

Maresca to Juventus?

Maresca is appreciated by Juventus both as a manager and as a person.

Moretto says that he is also liked because he played for Juventus as a player and knows the club's environment.

However, as it stands there is no chance of Maresca splitting with Chelsea imminently with both parties happy with one another.

The 45-year-old guided Chelsea to Europa Conference League and Club World Cup glory earlier this year, and despite an inconsistent start to the current campaign is still on track to challenge for major trophies.

Chelsea appointed Maresca as their new head coach in the summer of 2024 on a five-year contract.

The Italian succeeded Mauricio Pochettino as the club’s boss.

Chelsea reportedly paid €10 million in compensation to buy the Italian out of his Leicester contract, illustrating how highly they rated him.

Maresca had led Leicester City to the Championship title last season, playing some of the most impressive football in England in the early parts of the campaign.

There had been some opposition to Maresca’s appointment from fans, though, with Leicester losing seven of their final 14 games of the season and just about limping over the line.

In his first season at the club, Chelsea finished fourth in the Premier League and won the Conference League and Club World Cup.
