Chelsea believe that Moises Caicedo’s decision to fire his agent Manuel Sierra isn’t related to recent transfer speculation linking him with both Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.

The 23-year-old released a fiery Instagram statement to publicly confirm that Sierra is no longer his agent, in a now-deleted post, but Enzo Maresca’s side remain relaxed over his future at Stamford Bridge.

That is according to The Telegraph’s Matt Law, who has confirmed that Chelsea have “no concerns” over his future at the club as his current contract isn’t due to expire until 2031, with the option for a further 12 months. They also believe his decision to fire his agent will have no impact on his situation at the club.

PSG and Real Madrid are both monitoring Caicedo’s form at Stamford Bridge, as per reports, however it’s understood that he remains happy in west London and will not push to leave.

Furthermore, The Telegraph have revealed that Caicedo is in line to receive a pay rise as a reward for his immense performances over the past year, although there is no rush to formalise an agreement due to his current contract length.

What has Moises Caicedo said

In a now-deleted post, Caicedo publicly announced his split from the aforementioned Sierra on Monday evening.

“Chelsea Football Club star Moises Caicedo has separated from and is no longer represented by his former football agent Manuel Sierra of Football Division Worldwide and he is not represented by Ali Barat of Epic,” the Ecuador midfielder wrote on Instagram before deleting the post.

“The contract ended on August 14, 2025 and the player has now appointed people he can trust.”

Sierra is understood to have played a key role in negotiating Caicedo’s move from Brighton & Hove Albion to Chelsea in 2023, but the 23-year-old will now be advised by his family without a formal agent, as per BBC Sport’s Nizaar Kinsella.

Furthermore, The Telegraph have confirmed that Barat has never been Caicedo’s agent and he has only helped to advise the 23-year-old throughout his career.
