Chelsea star Moises Caicedo announces split in DELETED social media statement
Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo has officially decided to change agents and he confirmed this news in an explosive Instagram statement that has since been deleted.
The Ecuador international has enjoyed a fantastic start to the new Premier League season, scoring three goals in just seven appearances, and rumours suggest that he is set to be rewarded with an improved contract at Stamford Bridge.
However, the deal will not be negotiated by former agent Manuel Sierra or Ali Barat, as confirmed by Caicedo in a now-deleted social post.
“Chelsea Football Club star Moises Caicedo has separated from and is no longer represented by his former football agent Manuel Sierra of Football Division Worldwide and he is not represented by Ali Barat of Epic,” the Ecuador midfielder wrote on Instagram before deleting the post.
“The contract ended on August 14, 2025 and the player has now appointed people he can trust.”
Sierra is understood to have played a key role in negotiating Caicedo’s move from Brighton & Hove Albion to Chelsea in 2023, but the 23-year-old will now be advised by his family without a formal agent, as per BBC Sport’s Nizaar Kinsella.
Kinsella has also confirmed that Caicedo deleted the Instagram post “due to awkward wording but no ill will intended towards his previous representatives.”

Moises Caicedo transfer update
News that Caicedo has split with his agent comes amid reports that he has attracted transfer interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
Both clubs have reportedly earmarked the 23-year-old as a possible transfer target for next summer as they look to significantly bolster their midfield options.
It’s believed that Real Madrid hold the most significant interest in Caicedo, however he still has six years remaining on his current deal at Chelsea and he has been tipped to sign a new contract with the Blues rather than pursue a blockbuster exit.
