TRANSFER RUMOURS: Arsenal line up ‘biggest deal ever’ as Vini Jr bomb drops
The transfer window may be over, but teams are already planning for January and beyond. Here are some of today’s biggest rumours.
Saliba in historic Arsenal talks
Arsenal are lining up a historic deal to prevent Real Madrid signing William Saliba.
The Spanish club have long been linked with a move for the France defender, with the Bernabeu club trying to land him as a free agent in 2027, according to multiple reports.
The Gunners are ready to go all out to prevent that from happening, with the 24-year-old Saliba set to be rewarded with an enormous new deal at the Emirates.
Gunners make Liverpool hijack attempt
Mikel Arteta’s side have also been linked with a move that would demolish Liverpool’s hopes of signing a player they have lined up as a potential successor to Mohamed Salah.
After snapping up Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad in the summer, Arsenal are linked with a €45 million move for winger Takefusa Kubo.
The Japan international is one of a number of players the Reds have on their shortlist as a possible replacement for Salah.
Guehi makes transfer U-turn
Liverpool have been handed a further transfer blow as it has been reported that Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi now prefers a move to Real Madrid as a free agent next summer.
Guehi had been hours away from joining the Reds at the end of the summer transfer window only for the move to break down.
Now he has made moving to the Bernabeu his top target, according to reports in England.
Vini Jr threatens Real Madrid exit
Vinicius Junior will consider leaving Real Madrid as early as the January transfer window as he grows increasingly frustrated with life under Xabi Alonso.
The Brazilian expressed his anger when he was replaced during the weekend’s victory over Espanyol and is upset at having seen his status in the squad drop.
With contract negotiations still stuck in a deadlock, the 25-year-old is ready to explore a move away from the club, setting up the possibility of a world-record move to the Saudi Pro League.
