Man Utd interest in €84m Sesko upgrade CONFIRMED as January move guaranteed

Manchester United hold a concrete interest in Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic amid Benjamin Sesko's struggles to acclimatise to his new surroundings, according to a report.

The Red Devils splashed the cash on Slovenia international Sesko in the summer, but the 22-year-old has yet to fully integrate into his new side. Although he scored his first goal against Brentford on Saturday, the forward has yet to strike up proper partnerships with his teammates.

In recent days, reports have increasingly linked Man Utd with a move for a January reinforcement in the shape of Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, who was offered to the Red Devils in the summer.

Vlahovic is out of contract in 2026, and no extension is forthcoming. As such, Juventus are actively looking to get rid of him in January despite the fact that he has been their most prolific scorer so far in this nascent season.

Italian journalist Ciro Venerato claims that 'he’ll leave in January, no matter what' as the Bianconeri do not want to keep paying his hefty salary. They have repeatedly tried and failed to offload the best-paid player in Serie A in recent years.

Man Utd interest in Vlahovic confirmed

Man Utd's interest in Vlahovic has primarily been a topic in the Italian press, but German outlet BILD has now also confirmed that he is on the Red Devils' radar.

The report states that both Man Utd and Bayern are keen on Vlahovic, with the latter viewing him as a potential long-term replacement for Harry Kane. Vlahovic could be a more cost-effective alternative to Nicolas Jackson, whose loan from Chelsea contains a €65 million buy option.

Fabrizio Romano recently revealed that Bayern had begun gathering information on Vlahovic. He added that more clubs are keen on the Serbia international, but he did not name them.

If the latest out of Italy and Germany is anything to go by, Man Utd will be fully involved in the race for the 25-year-old. Perhaps he could be a replacement for Joshua Zirkzee, who is drawing interest from Serie A clubs Como and, ironically, Juventus, who want him to replace Vlahovic.
