On Saturday morning Jackson’s move to Bayern Munich was virtually a done deal, with Fabrizio Romano among those to announce the move was effectively completed.

However, Liam Delap pulled up injured in the Blues’ Premier League clash against Fulham, prompting Chelsea to pull the plug on the move.

Chelsea make striker move

Chelsea requested Jackson to return to London but the player and his camp are refusing to and are demanding that the transfer to Bayern still goes ahead.

As Chelsea try to work out the mess with Jackson, they are making contingency plans.

David Ornstein reports that Chelsea are considering signing a new striker before Monday's deadline.

That striker would be a replacement for Jackson and allow him to join Bayern.

However, a stipulation of letting Jackson go to Bayern will be that it has to be a permanent move - and that Chelsea find a suitable replacement.

Ornstein says that Chelsea have made multiple enquiries for stikers, including Sporting Lisbon's Conrad Harder, who had seemed close to RB Leipzig.

A Bola in Portugal says that Chelsea are looking at Roger Fernandes of Braga.
