Chelsea Transfer News Today: Triple deal AGREED as Garnacho drops major hint
FootballTransfers runs through all the latest Chelsea transfer news, rumours and gossip, including updates on Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Lesley Ugochukwu, Armando Broja and Alejandro Garnacho.
Triple deal agreed
Chelsea have agreed to sell Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Lesley Ugochukwu and Armando Broja as their summer fire sale continues to take shape.
The Blues are prioritising player sales after a flurry of incomings at the start of the window and they have taken major strides to reduce the size of Enzo Maresca’s first-team squad.
Everton have reached a full agreement to sign Dewsbury-Hall, as per Fabrizio Romano, while David Ornstein has confirmed that Ugochukwu will join Burnley on a permanent deal.
Scott Parker’s side will also purchase Broja, having already agreed a deal for the Albania striker.
Chukwuemeka back to Dortmund?
In addition to the aforementioned three players, Chelsea are also eager to sell Carney Chukwuemeka and Borussia Dortmund have now engaged in fresh talks to sign the midfielder.
The 20-year-old joined Dortmund on loan in January and Niko Kovac’s side are interested in bringing the Englishman back to the Bundesliga this summer.
However, Chelsea are only open to a permanent sale and this could complicate things.
Garnacho hint
Alejandro Garnacho has set his sights on completing a move to Chelsea this summer and he recently ‘liked’ an Instagram post from Fabrizio Romano, which confirmed the Blues’ interest in his services.
Manchester United are eager to offload the Argentina international before the end of the transfer window and Ruben Amorim has essentially confirmed that a sale will take place.
However, Chelsea are currently prioritising a move for RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons.
Real Madrid prepare Fernandez offer
Real Madrid are reportedly plotting a €100 million bid for either Enzo Fernandez or Alexis Mac Allister as they look to sign a new central midfielder this summer.
Stuttgart star Angelo Stiller has been heavily linked with a move to the Spanish giants in recent weeks, although new boss Xabi Alonso has identified Fernandez and Mac Allister as his “clear favourites,” according to a bombshell report from Fichajes.
The Spanish outlet claim that Real Madrid have a budget of €100m to spend on a new midfielder and they are eager to convince either Fernandez or Mac Allister to leave the Premier League and complete a blockbuster summer transfer.
Guiu delay
Chelsea forward Marc Guiu is expected to join Sunderland on loan for the duration of the 2025-26 season, but the transfer has hit an unexpected delay.
The Spain U19 international’s move to the Stadium of Light has been formalised between both clubs, however Guiu is yet to travel to Sunderland, according to Keith Downie.
The Sky Sports reporter posted on Sunday: “Guiu’s flight was postponed today but doesn’t mean the deal is dead. Agreement still in place and an expectation that the striker will finalise his move to Sunderland on loan for the season.”
Datro Fofana update
Chelsea are reportedly ready to sell David Datro Fofana this summer following his return from injury.
The Ivory Coast forward suffered a serious knee injury in December, but has now fully recovered and Enzo Maresca has given the “green light” for Chelsea to offload him on a permanent deal, as per TEAMtalk.
Clubs in France and Italy are reportedly monitoring Fofana’s situation ahead of a possible summer bid, with talks expected to ramp up over the next week.
