No Garnacho U-turn
Several sources have confirmed that Man Utd have not changed their stance on the future of Alejandro Garnacho and that the player remains banished from Ruben Amorim's squad.
Garnacho is among the players given more time away from the club in order to facilitate a transfer away, but there were sensational claims earlier this week that the Argentine had been offered an olive branch by Amorim.
However, the 20-year-old is still firmly out of the project and has not reported for pre-season as the club and his representatives continue to look for a new employer.
Flick greenlights Rashford pursuit
Barcelona boss Hansi Flick has approved of Barcelona's pursuit of Marcus Rashford as the club's new top target for the left-wing position after failing to secure Nico Williams and Luis Diaz.
Rashford is also among the players who have been told by Man Utd to stay away from Amorim's squad for pre-season, but the England international has nevertheless returned to Carrington.
Rashford is training on his own while talks over his future continue, with Man Utd willing to sell him for €48 million this summer.
Antony deal stalls
The talks between Man Utd and Real Betis for winger Antony appear to have fully hit an impasse now due to differing opinions on the player's value.
Betis can't break the bank on Man Utd's €95m flop, but the player has a 'burning desire' to return to Andalusia after his revitalising six-month loan there.
Talks will continue to find a solution, but Betis are ready to bide their time in hopes that Man Utd become more and more desperate to get rid of the Brazilian.
Villa signing Martinez replacement?
Aston Villa have agreed a deal with Stade Brest for goalkeeper Marco Bizot amid the ongoing uncertainty over the future of Emiliano Martinez.
The Argentine is expected to leave Villa Park this summer and is reportedly hoping for a move to Man Utd, but no concrete talks have so far taken place as the Red Devils are prioritising offensive signings.
34-year-old Bizot is ostensibly being signed to replace Robin Olsen, but the Dutchman has been Brest's reliable No.1 for several seasons and could also replace Martinez.
