Man Utd eye transfer breakthrough to avoid Ruben Amorim humiliation
Jadon Sancho could be freed from his Manchester United nightmare by a familiar face after fresh interest emerged in the winger this summer.
Sancho has been training by himself away from United’s first team as he searches for a new team, with both the player and the club seeking a new start after his loan spell at Chelsea last season.
With Chelsea paying €5 million to avoid signing Sancho on a permanent basis, United have so far struggled to find a new home for their unwanted star.
Juventus had held talks with United over a deal but an agreement doesn’t appear to be forthcoming despite Sancho reportedly being keen on the move and willing to lower his salary demands.
The situation led to Amorim admitting he may be forced to make a u-turn on his hardline stance with the likes of Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho by reintegrating them into the first team if they cannot find moves away in the coming weeks despite insisting the pair have no future under him.
But United could finally have another option for Sancho on the table as they look to ensure they gain some value for a player who is in the last year of his contract at Old Trafford.
Dortmund ready to bring Sancho back for round three
Sky Sport Germany have revealed that Dortmund are back at the table to sign Sancho, with contact already having been made to sign the 25-year-old after the Bundesliga held internal discussions to bring him back to the club for a third stint.
Having seen Sancho join United for €85m in 2021 and also taking him on loan during in 2024, Dortmund could now permanently bring Sancho back for a fraction of what they sold him for.
Man Utd are said to be demanding between €18-20m for Sancho and Dortmund have opened the door to his signing, although they have yet to formalise their interest with an approach.
Juventus are still thought to be in talks with Sancho too but they are unlikely to make a move before selling players and focusing on other options, meaning United may not have a resolution to their problem issue until closer to the end of the summer.
