All three players have been heavily linked with an exit ahead of the 2025-26 campaign and they remain in talks to secure a transfer away from Old Trafford.

The trio are eager to leave Man Utd before the end of the summer transfer window, but Amorim has revealed they could be reintegrated into his squad if the Red Devils’ valuation isn’t met.

Speaking to reporters ahead of Man Utd’s first game of the Premier League Summer Series against West Ham United, Amorim was asked about the importance of selling players this summer.

“Some players have to move to make space in the team, others want a new challenge and want a new team,” Amorim admitted (via the Manchester Evening News).

“We are giving them time to think and if they reach a point where they have to join the team they will because they are our players.

“Omar [Berrada] and Jason [Wilcox] have a number for these players, if that isn't reached they will be Manchester United players.

“I understand maybe other clubs are waiting for the last minute but they can have a surprise. I am ready to receive the players, they have more competition, if they want to play in the World Cup next year they need to play so I am happy with that. I have more options and if they have to fight each other to play that is perfect.”

Man Utd to sign a new striker?

Meanwhile, Man Utd have been unable to sign a new striker so far this summer, with the vast majority of their transfer funds being spent on the purchases of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.

Widespread reports have indicated that Amorim is determined to bring a centre forward to the club before the window slams shut, but he has insisted that he is happy with his current options.

“They [Cunha and Mbeumo] can play as a striker, we have Josh [Zirkzee] and Rasmus [Hojlund], our focus is to improve the connection between them. I don't know if the positions are there for them, they have to work. There are other players fighting for that position.

“The new signings are really humble, that is really important, and they chose to be here. They had other options, Champions League options, they read what people say about our club but they chose to be here and this is a key point for me.

“In the moment we need to be really careful when we sign a player. If I have to start the season with this squad I will be happy because all the players that are here want to be here. With Matheus and Bryan we are clearly a better team.”
