Chelsea Transfer News Today: Striker talks confirmed amid swap deal possibility
FootballTransfers runs through all the latest Chelsea transfer news, rumours and gossip, including updates on Nicolas Jackson and Alejandro Garnacho.
Nicolas Jackson talks confirmed
Manchester United have held talks with Nicolas Jackson’s representatives as they consider a possible bid for the Chelsea striker this summer.
As exclusively revealed by FootballTransfers back in May, Man Utd are among the clubs interested in signing Jackson this summer, and Chelsea will consider a sale following the arrivals of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.
BBC Sport reporter Nizaar Kinsella has now revealed that initial negotiations have taken place between Man Utd and Jackson’s agent, Ali Barat.
Chelsea’s long-standing interest in Alejandro Garnacho may reportedly play a role in a possible move for Jackson, with reports suggesting that a swap deal could be on the cards.
Raheem Sterling asking price
Chelsea have set their asking price for Raheem Sterling at €23 million, according to The Sun, as they look to offload the ex-England international on a permanent deal.
Sterling spent last season on loan at Arsenal, but he failed to establish himself as a regular at the Emirates Stadium and he has been placed in Chelsea’s ‘bomb squad’ upon his return to west London.
The Blues are determined to sell the 30-year-old this summer and although they are yet to discuss a transfer with Sterling, they are reportedly asking for a €23m fee in order to sanction a departure.
Renato Veiga to Atletico Madrid?
Chelsea star Renato Veiga is a “concrete option” for Atletico Madrid as Diego Simeone chases defensive reinforcements this summer.
That is according to Sky Germany, who claim that Atletico have initiated talks with Veiga’s camp as they look to win the race for his signature amid significant competition from across Europe.
Bayern Munich have also been heavily linked with the Portugal international, but Sky Germany state that a move to the Allianz Arena is currently unlikely.
Axel Disasi won’t join Neom
Saudi Pro League club Neom SC have ended their interest in Chelsea defender Axel Disasi, according to Ben Jacobs. A potential move was reportedly explored, but Neom have moved onto alternative centre-back targets.
Newcastle United are among the Premier League clubs interested in signing Disasi and they are reportedly in negotiations over a possible €35m summer deal.
Gabriel Slonina latest
Ligue 1 side Stade Brestois are in advanced talks to sign OGC Nice goalkeeper Maxime Dupe after deciding against a move for Chelsea star Gabriel Slonina, as per French journalist Mohamed Toubache-Ter.
Slonina spent time on loan at Barnsley last season and he has been tipped to leave Chelsea this summer amid significant competition for places.
Victor Osimhen transfer agreement
Long-term Chelsea target Victor Osimhen will not be moving to Stamford Bridge this summer, with Galatasaray finally reaching an agreement to sign the Napoli striker.
The Turkish giants will pay an initial fee of €40m for the Nigeria international, while they will be required to cough up an additional €35m next summer.
Furthermore, they will be unable to sell Osimhen to an Italian club for the next two years due to a unique clause in his contract.
Osimhen will reportedly travel to Istanbul on Tuesday to be unveiled in front of the club’s supporters.
