Arteta keen on more business
Arsenal officially confirmed the signing of star striker Viktor Gyokeres on Saturday, but the Sweden international is unlikely to be the Gunners' last arrival of the summer.
The North London club have managed to get the majority of their business done already, but Mikel Arteta has hinted that there are still moves to be made as he seeks to 'balance out' his squad.
“Let's see. The market is still going on and we'll have to balance out the squad as well. I think we'll be open to see what happens,” Arteta told the media after a friendly clash with Newcastle.
Eze deal unlocked soon?
Crystal Palace have identified Leicester attacker Bilal El Khannouss as their priority option to replace Arsenal target Eberechi Eze. The latter has already agreed personal terms with the Gunners.
However, both Eze and Arsenal are keen to be respectful to Palace, and the England star is not trying to force the issue. Similarly, the North London club have wanted to give Palace time to sort a replacement.
With El Khannouss now seemingly the man chosen to take Eze's place, Arsenal are expected to open formal talks with Palace to strike a deal, with Arteta and company ready to go 'all in' on the versatile attacker.
Real Madrid eye Dowman
Sensational reports are emerging out of Spain claiming that Real Madrid are interested in signing teenage Arsenal wonderkid Max Dowman, who has been stealing the show in pre-season so far.
It is asserted that the Spanish giants have been tracking the 15-year-old for months, and they believe that they could tempt him to leave the Gunners.
Meanwhile, it is also being claimed that Los Blancos have made a €90 million bid for William Saliba, with two players offered to Arsenal as well to sweeten the deal.
