Man Utd Transfer News Today: Amorim eyes €100m swoop for Ekitike as French forward 'set to join'

All the latest Man Utd transfer news in one place, including updates on Hugo Ekitike, Rasmus Hojlund and Matheus Cunha.
Hojlund future still uncertain
Man Utd are yet to decide on the future of Rasmus Hojlund, according to ESPN.
Hojlund had an awful season in front of goal, scoring just four Premier League goals in 32 games, leading to suggestions that United could look to cash in on him this summer as they look for an upgrade at striker.

However, it is claimed that ‘all options are on the table’ with Hojlund, with United open to his departure either permanently or on loan, or keeping the 22-year-old as part of Ruben Amorim’s squad next season.
United are said to have fielded calls from a number of clubs regarding Hojlund including Inter, who have asked to be kept informed of any developments, although the Danish forward’s future will ‘depend heavily’ on whether another striker is signed or not.
United enter Ekitike race
Manchester United have joined Chelsea and Liverpool in the race for Eintracht Frankfurt star Hugo Ekitike, claim Sky Sport Germany.
Ekitike has enjoyed a standout campaign for Frankfurt, grabbing 22 goals and eight assists in all competitions, leading to strong interest from the Premier League.
Frankfurt’s €100 million price tag has so far made Ekitike’s departure a non-starter despite strong talks with Chelsea but United are now said to have expressed a concrete interest in Ekitike with the Bundesliga side.
United are said to have ‘gathered all information’ surrounding the Frenchman as they look for their new number nine, although Frankfurt are not expected to drop their demands anytime soon.
Cunha reveals Man Utd dream
Matheus Cunha has officially been signed by Manchester United after formalities were completed over his €74 million transfer from Wolves.
The Brazilian has penned a contract until 2030, with the option for a further year, and revealed his joy at the move, saying: “It is hard to put into words my feelings about becoming a Manchester United player.

“Ever since I was a child in Brazil watching Premier League games on TV at my grandmother’s house, United was my favourite English team and I dreamed of wearing the red shirt. I want to thank my family and everyone who has helped me make that dream a reality.
“I can’t wait for the start of pre-season to get to know my team-mates and prepare for the season ahead. All my focus is now on working hard to become a valuable part of the team, and helping get this club back to the top.”
Young striker set to sign on free transfer
Manchester United are set to complete the signing of Enzo Kana-Biyik on a free transfer, the Manchester Evening News have confirmed.
Kana-Biyik travelled to Manchester in April to finalise a move to United, and there is just red tape remaining to rubber-stamp the deal.
It is claimed there are just a few regulatory steps before Kana-Biyik's transfer becomes official, with the teenager set to join from French side Le Havre.
