Alejandro Garnacho makes decision

Alejandro Garnacho is eager to remain in the Premier League if he leaves Manchester United this summer, as per Fabrizio Romano.

Ruben Amorim has informed the Argentina international that he is surplus to requirements at Old Trafford, and Chelsea are among the clubs monitoring his situation.

The Blues have shortlisted Garnacho as a potential target amid their pursuit of a new left winger, with Nico Williams and Jamie Gittens also on the club’s radar.

Antony swap deal?

Juventus offered Douglas Luiz to Man Utd in exchange for Antony before the sacking of sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Giuntoli was fired last week, but he was working on a deal for Antony before his dismissal, with “initial talks” reportedly taking place with Man Utd.

However, a swap deal involving Luiz and Antony now appears unlikely.

Man Utd identify Bryan Mbeumo alternatives

Man Utd have identified Eberechi Eze and Antoine Semenyo as two alternative targets to Bryan Mbeumo, according to ESPN.

Mbeumo had agreed personal terms with Ruben Amorim’s side and a deal was expected to take place, however Thomas Frank’s appointment as the new Tottenham Hotspur boss has thrown a deal into contention.

Spurs have now lodged a higher bid than Man Utd, as per reports, and the Red Devils have sounded out Eze and Semenyo as two potential options.

Victor Osimhen latest

Galatasaray are “optimistic” of agreeing a permanent deal for Victor Osimhen and Man Utd are reportedly unlikely to sign the Nigerian due to their failure to qualify for the Champions League.

That is according to TEAMtalk, who claim that Osimhen has been offered an annual salary of between €15-20 million from the Turkish giants.

Man Utd reopened talks to sign Osimhen earlier this week, however their chances of securing his signature have taken a hit following news that he wants to play in the Champions League next season.

Rayan Cherki message

Rayan Cherki has admitted he wants to “kill” Manchester United following his move to Manchester City from Olympique Lyonnais.

Man Utd were eager to sign Cherki this summer, but the Frenchman opted to join their inter-city rivals for a fee of €36.5m instead.

Cherki starred during Lyon’s Europa League quarter-final fixture against Man Utd last campaign, scoring in both legs, however his side were dumped out of the competition following a late winner from Harry Maguire.

Speaking ahead of Man City’s opening match of the Club World Cup, Cherki told reporters (via The Daily Mail): “I didn’t like it when Manchester United won the game against Lyon because I am a Lyonnais.

“Now I am waiting for the game [to] kill them. I just [wanted] to go to Manchester City.”

Viktor Gyokeres deal ‘frozen’

Arsenal have “frozen” their pursuit of Viktor Gyokeres due to Sporting CP’s current asking price, which will come as welcome news to Man Utd.

It is understood that Sporting were previously willing to sell Gyokeres for a fee of €70 million this summer, but Frederico Varandas, the club’s president, is reportedly now holding out for a figure closer to his €100 million release clause.

As a result, despite tracking Gyokeres for over a year, Arsenal have now “frozen” their pursuit of his signature, as per Record.

However, Gyokeres has reportedly rejected the chance to join Man Utd, so a move to Old Trafford remains unlikely, despite news that Arsenal have paused their pursuit of his signature.
