Nicolas Jackson to Man Utd HEATS UP as talks 'accelerate'

Chelsea have reportedly “accelerated” talks to sign Eintracht Frankfurt forward Hugo Ekitike, with Nicolas Jackson’s future at the club in doubt as a result.
The Blues are on the verge of formally announcing the arrival of Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap for a fee of €35 million, following a successful medical, and they are also eyeing a big-money move for Ekitike.
Reports indicate that Chelsea have already agreed personal terms with the 22-year-old, and Enzo Maresca’s side are now “accelerating” talks with Eintracht Frankfurt, according to French publication L’Equipe.
The Bundesliga side are currently demanding a transfer fee of €100m in order to sanction a sale this summer, although Chelsea are hoping to negotiate a lower figure for the France U21 international.
Ekitike scored 22 goals in 48 appearances during the 2024-25 season and Chelsea are eager to finalise a deal for the 22-year-old, despite the imminent arrival of Delap.
If the Blues are able to reach an agreement to sign Ekitike, it could spell the end of Nicolas Jackson’s time at the club, according to The Guardian.
The Senegal international signed a new long-term contract until 2033 last September, but the arrival of both Ekitike and Delap this summer could reportedly lead to a Stamford Bridge exit ahead of the new campaign.

Nicolas Jackson to Man Utd?
FootballTransfers understands that Manchester United are closely monitoring Jackson’s situation at Chelsea as they consider a possible approach this summer.
The Red Devils are actively chasing a new centre forward following the struggles of both Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee last season, and Jackson has been identified as a possible option by Jason Wilcox.
A deal is far from advanced and Man Utd’s interest is currently at the earliest stage, although rumours of an Old Trafford switch could intensify if Chelsea are able to finalise the signings of both Ekitike and Delap.
