Chelsea summer transfers 2025: Every signing, sale and loan as Blues edge closer to Gittens

Chelsea have already completed several transfers so far this summer and their spending is set to continue amid their pursuit of the best wonderkids in world football.
The Blues have splashed over €1.3 billion on new signings since Clearlake Capital became their new owners in 2022, yet they still remain one of the most active clubs in the market as they look to bolster Enzo Maresca’s squad ahead of the new season.
The Blues are preparing for their first Champions League campaign since 2022-23, although they are once again focused on signing young players, rather than experienced stars capable of performing at the highest level straight away.
Last summer, Chelsea signed the likes of Pedro Neto, Joao Felix and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, in addition to youngsters such as Marc Guiu and Omari Kellyman, while they sold Conor Gallagher, Romelu Lukaku, Ian Maatsen and several others.
This year, Chelsea have already confirmed the arrivals of Liam Delap, Estevao Willian, Dario Essugo, Mamadou Sarr and Kendry Paez. Eight players have departed the club permanently, including Bashir Humphreys and Marcus Bettinelli, while Teddy Sharman-Lowe has been loaned to Bolton Wanderers.

Chelsea’s potential incomings and outgoings
Chelsea are targeting several high-profile additions during the 2025 summer transfer window, with the club determined to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.
Hugo Ekitike has been lined up as a potential striker target, despite the recent arrival of the aforementioned Delap, but the Blues are currently unwilling to match Eintracht Frankfurt’s €100m asking price.
Furthermore, Chelsea have seemingly ended their interest in Benjamin Sesko and Victor Osimhen, while links with Joao Pedro have died down.
Meanwhile, Jamie Gittens is expected to become Chelsea’s new left winger.
The England youngster has set his sights on joining Chelsea this summer, as per multiple reports, and the Blues are in advanced talks with Borussia Dortmund. A deal was unable to be completed before the 2025 Club World Cup, but Chelsea are close to striking an agreement with their Bundesliga counterparts.
Alejandro Garnacho remains an option too, however Chelsea are focused on Gittens as things stand.

The club are also reportedly eager to bring a new central defender to west London and Marc Guehi, Jarrad Branthwaite and Jorrel Hato are among their targets. However, sales will need to take place first, and rumours of a new centre-back being signed have died down in recent weeks.
A deal for Mike Maignan was on the cards before the Club World Cup, but Chelsea have withdrawn from negotiations to sign the AC Milan star and a new goalkeeper now appears unlikely to move to Stamford Bridge.
Meanwhile, Chelsea will sell a host of players this summer as they look to trim down their first-team squad.
Ben Chilwell, Axel Disasi, Renato Veiga, Lesley Ugochukwu, Armando Broja, Raheem Sterling, Carney Chukwuemeka, Djordje Petrovic, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Alfie Gilchrist and Joao Felix are all expected to be sold permanently following loan spells away from the club in 2024-25.
Christopher Nkunku, Trevoh Chalobah, Noni Madueke and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall could depart too.
