Arsenal have not held a single conversation with any club regarding a swap deal involving Viktor Gyokeres and either Morgan Rogers or Julian Alvarez, despite the news increasingly circulating.

FootballTransfers understands that suggestions that Arsenal are willing to entertain offers involving Gyokeres in exchange for Rogers or Alvarez are completely unfounded.

The rumours make little sense when viewed against the reality of Arsenal's situation. The Sweden international only arrived at the club last summer and remains a key part of Mikel Arteta's plans moving forward.

Gyokeres has also enjoyed an impressive campaign in North London, delivering the goals and physical presence Arsenal believed he would bring when they invested heavily to secure his signature.

His performances throughout the season have only strengthened the club's belief that he can be a leading figure in their attack for years to come.

No swap offers made

FootballTransfers sources have indicated there has been no dialogue between Arsenal and Aston Villa over a Rogers-Gyokeres exchange, while Atletico Madrid have likewise not discussed any scenario involving Alvarez moving in the opposite direction.

Arsenal's recruitment team continue to assess opportunities to strengthen the squad, but there is no indication the club are looking to move on from a striker they only signed 12 months ago, particularly one who has delivered strongly during his first season.

If Arsenal do add another No.9 in the coming months, the expectation is that the club would target a younger emerging forward capable of developing alongside the current squad rather than commit to another hugely expensive headline acquisition.

The Gunners have consistently sought long-term value in the market, and that philosophy remains unchanged. As things stand, there are no talks, no negotiations and no swap proposals involving Gyokeres, Rogers or Alvarez.

The suggestion that Arsenal would listen to offers involving a striker they only signed last summer, and who has enjoyed a successful first season at the Emirates, simply does not stand up.
