FootballTransfers understands that Arsenal have made significant progress in contract talks with several key stars.

The Gunners have built one of Europe's most competitive teams under Mikel Arteta, but the club's lack of major silverware has given rise to speculation that their key players could look for greener pastures.

France international William Saliba is regarded as a top target for Real Madrid, while Gabriel Magalhaes reportedly has Saudi suitors. However, we are told that Arsenal fans must not fear the departures of the club's biggest stars.

On the contrary, sources have informed us that several integral players are set to sign new long-term contracts with the club. This includes Saliba, Gabriel and also Bukayo Saka.

Club sources have gone so far as to suggest that these three deals were 'sorted quickly' and are 'already agreed.' The same applies to Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly, with those close to the talks reiterating that negotiations have concluded and that these extensions will be announced in due time.

Trossard, Partey extensions not yet agreed

However, not all contract talks have proceeded quite as smoothly. We are told that Leandro Trossard and Thomas Partey have yet to give the go-ahead for a fresh commitment.

The talks with Trossard have already dragged on for some time. A breakthrough in the discussions was made in February, but the final wage still needs to be agreed. It is not 100 per cent set in stone yet that he will stay this summer.

As for Partey, both parties are relaxed about the situation as Arsenal are aware that the Ghanaian is open to continuing at the club, although his signature is still pending.

Should a club make a concrete move for him and Partey expresses a desire to pursue that opportunity, the Gunners already have a back-up option to be signed alongside Martin Zubimendi.

As first revealed in December and now confirmed to us again by sources, Arsenal view Sevilla midfielder Lucien Agoume as an ideal replacement for Partey.
