Chelsea are once again interested in Feyenoord full-back Quilindschy Hartman, according to Dutch media.

The Netherlands international had a dream transfer to Stamford Bridge ruined by an ACL injury last year. Chelsea approached Hartman and Feyenoord in January 2024, but both advised the Blues to return in the summer as a mid-season move was undesirable.

However, Hartmann suffered his long-term knee injury in late February and Chelsea, unsurprisingly, did not make a new offer in the summer. In recent months, the 23-year-old has returned to the pitch, although Feyenoord have made sure to manage his minutes.

Regarding Chelsea, Hartman has never made a secret of the fact that he was in talks with the West London club. He has openly spoken about the Blues' approach on several occasions, most recently in February.

According to Voetbal Primeur, Chelsea still hold an interest in the Dutchman, but they are far from the only club keen on him. Over the past few days, Bournemouth have also begun being linked as they look for a replacement for the seemingly Liverpool-bound Milos Kerkez.

Chelsea to sign Hartman?

Hartman has yet to make a decision on whether he will pursue a move abroad this summer or whether he will look to stay at Feyenoord in a bid to get back to his pre-ACL level before taking the next step.

The Rotterdam club's technical director, Dennis te Kloese, would ideally like clarity as soon as possible. “We will see in the coming weeks," he recently said on Goedemorgen Eredivisie. "It is a major consideration for him, also with a view to where he can still grow.

“The national coach is at the table here and there is a World Cup next year. Then that consideration must also be whether now is a good time to take the next step. He will have to talk to his people about that himself. Of course, we are always in talks.

"If they [Chelsea] have contacted him, they have not yet contacted us. Last year, that was, of course, a story that was discussed. Ultimately, that changed with the injury. He is an incredibly valued force with us, and as a person, I also value him very much.

"But he has to reach a certain level to take that next step and then possibly play himself into the spotlight with Oranje again. Is now the time? He will have to consider that himself."
