Rangers expected to sign new winger as 'big financial offer' submitted
Rangers have reportedly made a “big financial offer” for Wolfsburg winger Andreas Skov Olsen as they look to land the Denmark international before the end of the January transfer window.
Danny Rohl’s side solidified their title credentials with a 2-0 win over Aberdeen on Sunday afternoon and they are expected to dip into the market this month in a bid to boost their chances of winning the Scottish Premiership for the first time since 2021.
SK Sturm Graz midfielder Tochi Chukwuani, Hibernian striker Kieron Bowie and Sunderland duo Dan Neil and Romaine Mundle have all been linked with a mid-season move to Ibrox, while they are now in talks to land Skov Olsen on loan.
That is according to The Daily Record, who report that a “big financial offer” has been lodged by Rangers as they look to finalise a deal for his signature on a temporary deal.
The Scottish giants are reportedly in negotiations with Wolfsburg over a January transfer and Skov Olsen is keen to complete an Ibrox switch after struggling for game time this campaign.
The Denmark international, who joined Wolfsburg in January 2025, has only started four Bundesliga matches so far this term and he has racked up just 465 minutes of action across all competitions in 2025-26.
Rangers to sign Andreas Skov Olsen?
Wolfsburg are understood to be open to loaning out Skov Olsen for the remainder of the season and The Daily Record state that a transfer is expected to happen.
The 26-year-old was linked with a move to Rangers all the way back in 2022, during his time at Bologna, but a deal failed to materialise and he eventually joined Club Brugge instead.
Rohl already has Mikey Moore, Djeidi Gassama, Rabbi Matondo, Findlay Curtis and Oliver Antman as winger options at Ibrox, however his squad looks set to be bolstered by the loan arrival of Skov Olsen before the end of the winter window.
