Neymar takes another swipe at Mbappe with BRUTAL response

Neymar has taken another swipe at Kylian Mbappe on social media.

While the current iteration of PSG tries to present itself as putting the collective above the individual, that wasn't always the case. In previous years, the French giants were more concerned about building a super team than a coherent one.

In 2017, Neymar was signed for a world-record €222m, Kylian Mbappe joined that same summer on an initial loan that eventually became a €180m permanent deal. Lionel Messi joined on a free transfer in 2021.

However, despite having some of the greatest players in the history of the game on their books at the same time, PSG never managed to claim that one trophy that has always proved so elusive: the Champions League.

One of the reasons why that was perhaps the case, and why PSG have a brilliant chance of winning it now that Neymar and Messi are gone, is at least partially due to the fact that two of their main stars did not get along.

Mbappe vs Neymar Round X

During their time together at the club, it was often rumoured that Mbappe and Neymar did not see eye-to-eye. Both wanted to be the face of PSG and Mbappe allegedly even requested that the Brazilian be sold in 2022, which ultimately materialised a year later when he joined Al-Hilal for €90m.

Neymar, for his part, has done little to hide his disdain for the Frenchman since leaving PSG. His latest social media activity again proves just how bitter the 31-year-old still is about his time at the Parc des Princes.

A Brazilian Instagram page posted a reel of the PSG star with the caption "Mbappé has once again shown that he is a good man and not the villain of a poorly told story," which attracted the ire of Neymar. The Al-Hilal man bluntly called the person behind the account a "gringo suckup."
