Arsenal hold Trent talks

Arsenal and Liverpool have been in contact with the camp of Real Madrid defender Trent Alexander-Arnold, TEAMtalk claims.

The England star has struggled to find a home in Spain's capital since joining from Liverpool last year, and he may yet again have to make do with a substitute role this season. Consequently, there is interest in potentially bringing him back to the Premier League.

Intermediaries have begun assessing options for the right-back and have contacted potential suitors. For now, however, Alexander-Arnold remains determined to make the grade at Real Madrid.

Real Madrid to re-sign Ramon

Real Madrid are expected to trigger their buy-back clause in Jacobo Ramon's contract at Como, as per Javi Rubiano, Matteo Moretto and Alejandro Ruiz.

The Spanish giants are planning to make the centre-back the first signing of their 2027 summer window, with the 21-year-old expected to replace Antonio Rudiger, who is unlikely to be offered another contract extension unless he suddenly starts playing at a world-class level.

Real Madrid sold Ramon to Como for just €2.5 million and can reportedly bring him back for around €10m. They already considered re-signing him this summer but ultimately felt they couldn't guarantee him regular minutes and thus opted to keep him at Como.

Scott not for sale in January

Bournemouth will not sell Alex Scott in January, Dean Jones understands.

The 23-year-old is a key target for Chelsea heading into 2027, with the West London club even considering holding talks over a possible pre-agreement in order to not get beaten to the punch.

However, any move is only expected to take place in the summer because Bournemouth will not entertain mid-season bids. The Cherries reportedly value Scott at €110m.

Liverpool back in for Tchouameni?

New Liverpool sporting director Julian Ward is still an admirer of Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, Football Insider writes.

Ward attempted to sign the France international during his first spell in charge of Liverpool's recruitment, but the midfielder famously snubbed a move to Anfield in favour of joining Real Madrid.

With Liverpool in need of a midfielder, Ward could reignite his pursuit of Tchouameni, who wasn't untouchable at Real Madrid this summer. However, any speculation over a transfer ended when he signed a new long-term contract, and this is likely to make the Reds' life difficult.

Balde's decisive January

Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde is facing a "decisive January" amid interest from Man Utd, Mundo Deportivo reports.

The Spaniard was courted by the Red Devils this summer, but a transfer failed to materialise due to the cost of the deal and the player's unwillingness to leave Barcelona. Things are likely to be different in the next window.

Balde has barely played after plummeting down the pecking order, with Hansi Flick disappointed with his "stagnation." As Barcelona are still looking to raise funds, the 22-year-old is likely to be pushed out the door in January.
