Real Madrid receive WORLD RECORD €350m transfer offer for Mbappe
Real Madrid have allegedly received a world record offer to sell Kylian Mbappe in a deal that would see the Frenchman given a contract worth €300 million per year.
The Spanish giants have already dealt with interest from Saudi Arabia in Vinicius Junior, who could still be targeted for a move if he fails to agree an extension to his contract in Madrid.
However, the Saudi Pro League have now set their sights on another of Real’s stars in Mbappe, with Fichjaes claiming that Al-Hilal have sent an offer with €350m for the 26-year-old.
The offer was immediately rejected by Real with ‘no doubt’ and Mbappe’s departure ‘would not be negotiated’ at any price.
Mbappe would also have been offered a salary greater than Cristiano Ronaldo’s, which would have seen the forward become the highest-paid footballer in the world but Real will not even consider sitting down to negotiate.
The board are said to believe that ‘some sporting assets cannot be measured in solely economic terms’ and that Mbappe’s sale would weaken a project that reolves around the player and his global impact.
Saudi Pro League eye ‘generational icon’ in Mbappe
Al-Hilal are looking for a ‘generational icon’ capable of attracting audiences and sponsors despite Saudi Arabia planning to scale back their investment into transfers.
The Saudi Pro League is soon to see their ‘first wave’ of big signings soon leave, with the league’s biggest earners such as Karim Benzema set to see his deal expire next summer, while Ronaldo’s deal ends in 2027.
While there is a desire to sign younger players for more sustainable fees, players such as Mbappe will continue to be targeted in order to continue growing the profile of the league.
Although Mbappe’s arrival is practically impossible, Vinicius Junior could be approached again next summer, while Mohamed Salah’s future remains uncertain at Liverpool and the Egyptian could receive an offer in January to move to Saudi Arabia.
