Stuttgart's Serhou Guirassy is attracting the attention of Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain.

The Guinean goal machine has quickly become one of Europe's most recognisable names. His goals have transformed Stuttgart from relegation battlers into contenders for a European spot, but the high-flying Bundesliga side could face an almighty battle to keep hold of their star man in January.

With a ridiculous 15 goals and two assists in 9 competitive fixtures this term, Guirassy has put his name on the map. What's more, in January, a release clause worth a measly €17.5 million becomes active, according to Fabrizio Romano, which has Europe's elite licking their lips.

Though reports in Germany suggest that Guirassy is not thinking about leaving Stuttgart right now, this could change if some of the world's biggest clubs come calling - clubs like Real Madrid, for example.

Real crazy about Guirassy

According to Defensa Central (via Fichajes), Los Blancos have identified the 27-year-old as a winter reinforcement to beef up their attack, which is missing a real star number nine following the departure of Karim Benzema.

While Jude Bellingham has adequately replaced the Frenchman's goals, many Madridistas believe that the Spanish giants could be even better if they had someone of a higher quality than the solid but unspectacular Joselu leading the line.

Guirassy could be that man, according to the Spanish outlet. He would be much cheaper than Erling Haaland, for example, who will become available for €200 million in the summer.

The Guinean is presently scoring at a much better rate than the Norwegian sharpshooter, but he is also four years his senior and it remains to be seen whether his current form is sustainable or just a purple patch.

Injuries and other issues have always prevented Guirassy from consistently delivering the kind of spectacular performances he is putting in at Stuttgart this term. In fact, he is nursing a hamstring issue right now, raising questions about whether big clubs should truly target him.
