Mbappe out to hijack Real Madrid's Tchouameni transfer

Real Madrid’s plans to sign Aurelien Tchouameni from Monaco could be derailed by Kylian Mbappe, with the World Cup winner set to try to talk the midfielder into a move to PSG.
Mbappe has been given unrivalled influence in the Ligue 1 champions’ dressing room following his decision to sign a new three-year contract at the club. It was a move that caused shockwaves in Madrid, with the Spanish outfit having previously been confident of capturing the striker on a free transfer.
And having burned Los Blancos once this summer, the attacker, who appears to be public enemy No.1 among supporters of the Spanish outfit, is ready to do so again.
Real Madrid have been close to a move for Tchouameni for days, with reports suggesting a deal for between €80-€100 million had been agreed with Monaco.

Marca now reports, though, that PSG have sent Mbappe on mission to sabotage this transfer over the international break, in which he and Tchouameni will be France colleagues for fixtures against Denmark, Croatia (twice) and Austria.
Indeed, the Parisians have prioritised strengthening their midfield over the summer and incoming sporting director Luis Campos has earmarked Tchouameni as their leading priority.
But while Mbappe will have the ear of the 22-year-old midfielder, Real Madrid also have allies in the France camp. Karim Benzema, who spoke to the attacker about joining him at the Bernabeu, is set to play a similar role in this transfer saga, while Eduardo Camavinga is another player who can talk up the prospect of joining the Champions League winners.
“I hope he signs, I don’t know exactly if he will yet, but I’ve already spoken to him,” Camavinga told L’Equipe. “We’ll see what happens in the days ahead.”
Despite Mbappe’s intervention, Real Madrid are thought to be hot favourites to sign Tchouameni, which would be some silver lining after missing out on their main summer target.
