Manchester United are set to hold a meeting to decide the future of Alejandro Garnacho and we are told that the most likely scenario is that he remains with the side for the upcoming season and not sent out on loan.

The Premier League giants will decide the 18-year-old’s future at the club, as reported by Fabrizio Romano as well, and FootballTransfers has been informed that the most probable cause of action is the youngster staying at Old Trafford, with Erik ten Tag being hugely impressed with what he’s seen so far.

The attacker was remarkable against Rayo Vallecano in Man Utd’s friendly, and also in training. And that appears to be enough to keep him for the campaign.

We exclusively told you in June that Man Utd have been talking with Garnacho over a new deal, but he will be at the club until 2025 regardless. Despite reports suggesting that his deal ends next year, the winger's contract is actually up in 2025.

The winger has triggers within his scholarship agreement that extend on his birthday every year. This means he will stay with Man Utd until at least 2025, regardless of any new contract.

Garnacho played 70 minutes in the 1-1 draw with Vallecano and was one of the standout players. Positioned on the left-wing, he was a threat throughout. Man Utd boss Ten Hag was asked about the youngster after the game and he said that he thought his display was "really good".

"Overall, definitely [happy with pre-season], I think we make a good pre-season and we make good progress," Ten Hag told MUTV. "We are ready for the season, but I know there is still a lot of room for improvement and we have to improve.

"That is also a process that continues in the season, but for next week it’s about the result as well. It [team selection] was a mixture of experience and youth, some guys met each other for the first time today, so what can you expect?”
